Fourteen years ago I decided to move to Dubai to work for Emirates Airlines, best decision of my life…. I enjoyed twelve years flying around the world with the best job there was for me… well, until now! I married an amazing Emirati man and we made two beautiful DUTCHARATIES. So it was time to put my wings away to spend time with my Family… but I quickly realized that if you have worked your half life you need something to do, but what??

Two years ago, right before Christmas, my kids where spending to much time in front of their devices, so I decided to buy some board games.We started playing, but with mum is never as fun as with friends! So we started inviting kids over to play and buying more and nicer games… there is a vast amount of exciting games out there! And I want to play them all… So this is how Desert Meeples was born!

We started doing classes for children with different age groups, then came our“Coffee and Boardgames Mornings”for the Mamies… now the husbands join in on game night! A year later we started creating retreats for all the members of the club, friends started borrowing our games and asking me to teach them, and the Board game rental started and Desert Meeples started to be a reality. Now we do everything board games related!
